ARE YOU A MEMBER OF THE
VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER’S FOUNDATION FUND?

THANKS TOMSLAKE & DISTRICT VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT.

They raised money during a weekend Hose Lay competition, and at the end of the weekend, those attending chose to donate $500 to the Firefighter’s Foundation Fund. Thanks Tomslake and all who attended the competition. Your support is truly appreciated.

This Foundation or Benevolent Fund was established to help out Firefighter’s or their family members when emergent needs arise.  It has be used in the past to grant funds in the case of death in the family, severe illnesses, a need to travel for health care and so on.

The Fund is maintained through donations of $10 per firefighter per year. Membership is optional but is only open to members of this association, The Volunteer Firefighters’ Association of B.C.  As well, the use of the program funds is restricted to only those departments that have paid and continue to pay into the fund in an ongoing basis.
